Local Legends: The Bogmen

Long Island’s very own Indie rock band will be lighting up the stage at Tilles Center on Saturday, December 14th at 8 pm.

For their Tilles Center debut, The Bogmen will blend South Asian, Americana rustic folk, and traditional classical music styles in an acoustic evening created just for the intimate setting of the Krasnoff Theater. The group will perform this one night only East-meets-West special event with an eclectic group of chamber musicians from Brooklyn Raga Massive, a South Asian classical collective, and the Hedonistic Horns brass section.

“We are so thrilled that Tilles Center approached us for this show and wanted to create a truly innovative and enhanced experience with orchestral instrumentation,”

“We’ve designed it particularly for this unique seated venue, and we’re really excited to share it with our audience.”

-Bogmen frontman Billy Campion

“I’ve been a fan of The Bogmen for a long time, and it’s a real thrill to bring them to Tilles Center, bringing back our friends from Brooklyn Raga Massive just adds to this special and intimate concert experience.”

-Tilles Center’s Executive and Artistic Director, Tom Dunn

Known for songs like Suddenly, The Big Burn and Oceans Apart, The Bogmen were formed in 1992 by singer/songwriter Billy Campion and brothers Billy Ryan and Brendan Ryan, three childhood friends and clamming buddies from Huntington, Long Island. Driven by a catchy combination of rock, soul, and afrobeat-tinged power
pop, and fueled by Campion’s penetrating vocals and provocative lyrics, the band has long collided world music beats in sonically intriguing ways. This is a must-see event!

The band will also meet the audience after the show to mingle in Tilles Center’s Goldsmith Atrium. On sale now, tickets start at $35 and can be purchased here.
